Larijani urges Muslim states to deepen friendly ties

TEHRAN, Sep. 11 (MNA) – Iran’s Parl. Speaker in messages to his Muslim counterparts on the occasion of Eid al-Adha said strengthening friendly ties among Islamic countries is the only way to bypass the current difficult situation.

“Looking at the problems facing the Islamic Ummah now, particularly the continuation of the occupation of Palestinian territories and the holy city of al-Quds, as well as the great scourge of Takfiri terrorism, clearly indicates the necessity and significance of strengthening unity and solidarity and avoiding any disparity and discord among Muslim brotherhood according to Islamic principles,” Larijani said in his separate messages to a number of parliament speakers and political and religious figures of the Islamic world.

In his message of felicitations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha which falls this year on Sep. 12, Larijani stressed Iran’s Parliament’s readiness for deepening friendly ties and furthering consultations with parliaments of other Muslim countries in an attempt to solve the problems facing the Islamic world, including the realization of the rights of the Palestinian people.

Larijani further hoped for continuous success for his counterparts and a number of religious and political figures in the Muslim world, and prayed for prosperity and glory of the Islamic Ummah.

Eid al-Adha, known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is one of the holiest Muslim celebrations that represents the end of Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.
